welcome to new life csa!
What Exactly is a CSA?
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. It is a partnership between a farmer and members of our community.
As a member, you support a local farm and receive your produce at a locked-in price. In return, our family promises to do all the necessary work involved with farming; the planting, weeding, picking, washing, and time commitment that makes so many people shy away from having their own garden. You share in the farm. If one type of vegetable produces an exceptional amount, you share in the abundance. However, if one type of vegetable does poorly, you share in the loss.
Each week, you receive a portion of the farm's harvest - picked at its peak ripeness for the best flavor and nutrition.
Our Goals
We operate our CSA with two basic goals in mind.
1. To provide our members with enough produce to feed their family for a week.
2. To make healthy eating an economical option for real people on real budgets.
To do this, we have built our business from the ground up, literally! Our farm has been certified organic by Pennsylvania Certified Organic since 1999. The health of the soil is reflected in the health and abundance of the crops raised on it. We keep our prices much lower than most CSAs to enable you to enjoy our hard work.
